Built-In Yaw in One Compact Cockpit

Four actuators add a yaw axis on top of heave, roll and pitch, pivoting at the front legs - the only 4DOF compact in the Qubic line.

Heading cues like a lane change or helicopter rotation reach the operator as real rotation, not a stacked separate base.

A 3DOF compact skips yaw, leaving the heading cue on screen and guests missing the rotation they read as immersion.

Hardware

  • QS-V20 Cockpit
    A 4DOF motion cockpit on four linear actuators - a complete frame adding traction-loss yaw to pitch, roll and heave.
  • Power Cabinets
    Two factory-wired power and control cabinets driving the four actuators over M-BUS - shipped operable.
  • QS-MC6 Controller
    The M10 controller inside the QS-MC6 set, running the Qubic protocol - one USB connection brings the cockpit online. It turns the telemetry stream into synchronized commands for all four actuators.
  • Motion-Lock
    A hardware stop switch - press it and motion cuts at once. With no brakes to hold the load, the platform settles to its lowest boarding position.
  • M-BUS + Power Cabling
    The terminator, USB and mains leads - the cockpit wires together as delivered. The two cabinets link over the M-BUS communication line and a Motion-Lock interlink, so the four actuators act as one machine.
  • Transport Wheels & Steps
    Brackets, boarding steps and casters to move and step into the cockpit.

The QS-BT1 Seat Belt Tensioner pulls on the racing harness in sync with the motion - braking, cornering and traction loss on track, climbs and G-loading in flight, all become physical. Fully compatible with the QS-V20.

How It Works.

QS-V20 · Motion Cockpit

The QS-V20 is a 4DOF cockpit on four electric linear actuators, each driven by its own servo drive. The M10 controller turns ForceSeatPM telemetry into coordinated extension, so heave, roll and pitch read as road, cornering lean and braking dive. The yaw point sits at the front actuators, so the rear steps out under power - the oversteer a stacked 3DOF base cannot form.

Two power cabinets feed the actuators from a single-phase 120/230V supply, so the cockpit drops into a standard venue outlet without three-phase wiring, and Q-MODE calls for the 230V supply. Cabinets and frame ship factory-wired, and the operator selects a mode per session in ForceSeatPM. Motion starts under 8 ms. The cockpit ships pre-assembled as standard, and can be prepared as modules on request for tight-access sites.

Between sessions a Motion-Lock switch stops the cockpit, and with no holding brakes it lowers to its boarding position.
